About The Builder

John Magill, a life long resident of Grafton, has been building quality homes in the town for the past 40 years.  During this time he has earned a reputation as an honest and hardworking business man.  Grafton is peppered with many tree lined streets and neighborhoods built by Magill Associates Inc.  Prior to the development of Highfields of Grafton, John has constructed over 140 single family homes, 300 condominiums and 180 rental units.  Known for being an on-site builder rather than a corporate entity, his daily presence on the job site has always made him accessible to his customers.  John is a member of the Worcester County Builders Association and has won the coveted Silver Hammer award for his restoration of the historic Grafton Inn that he also owned and operated for 16 years with his daughters.

John and his wife Rachel have both enjoyed the game of golf for many years belonging to both Pleasant Valley Golf Course in Sutton, Ma. and Monarch Country Club in Palm City, FLA.  They have shared their love of the game with their children and are now introducing it to their grandchildren.

John's son Jay Magill has been working for Magill Associates for th past 24 years.  Jay also has built many houses in Grafton and the Worcester area.  They have been working side by side on the development of Highfields.

Highfields is the culmination of eight years of planning, architectual design and working along side professional golf course designers to develop Magill's former 500 acre dairy farm into an upscale golf community featuring an 18-hole course surrounded by 160 luxury homes.
